Francine Montecinos

I am a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Economics of Columbia University. I work on questions in public economics, economics of education, and empirical industrial organization.

In September 2026, I will join Columbia University to start my Ph.D. in Economics!

Before joining Columbia, I was doing my Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Economics at University of Chile. I also worked as a research intern for the Centre for Social Conflict and Cohesion Studies, and the National Service for Consumer Protection.
